I just don't give them any importance, but still give a basic amount of respect to all human beings. Hate generates more hate.
I'm talking about respect not hatred. I don't care enough about them to hate them (and this goes for other type of people, don't have time for that), but I draw the line if you're intolerant towards anything besides intolerance, you deserve no respect.

That's different from changing your speech to please other, kissing ass or simply being a coward. Malcom X is one of my favourite historic figures because he had the inner strengh to reform his views towards many things for the better.
I follow that. And how MLK used to tell him how much he needed him to make his views seem that much more "centrist". ;)

Wise words. Ignorance, stupidity, and irrational fear cannot be rationally answered with the same.

If that's the case that's cool, I have lots of friends that make dumb race jokes, but they are what they are. But $#@!ing cowards, cowards are the ones I can't stand, keyboard warriors as some would call them. The ones that allow themselves to say certain things behind a keyboard but wouldn't have the cojones to do so in person.
This makes no sense to me. Why is a racist coward worse than a racist who stands his ground? Would you rather have a neonazi who's a nazi only on the internet or one that goes to rallies and harasses and assualts people?

You are who you are, I just have an issue with cowardice and bitch $#@!s. There was this old man that used to be my next door neighbour, dude used to straight up call me negro (we were 3 black guys living next door, dude had balls of steel, had maaad respect for him just because of that), we talked a lot and what not, I'm not gonna box out an old man, he was from a different time, he believed that Mandela was a terrorist and MLK an extremist that ruined the peace in America. Decent fellow, but had twisted views, didn't mean we couldn't co-exist.
so did margareth thatcher

I'd rather look into my foes eyes, rather than being crept up from behind. It's just me, both types are scum, but cowards/hypocrites are my biggest pet peeves.

And tolerance is disgusting word, imo, you have to "tolerate" someone being different? Tolerance is a word you use towards someone/thing that annoys you and you endure the discomfort. Just a way to say, such and such groups gross me out, but I tolerate them, it's ok they are allowed to be in my vicinity.

En tout cas, tout sa c'est des foutaises.

Well, you're right. For the world's societies I think tolerance should be the first step in any case, but even then that's a long road. More often than not there will always remain a backward and very small minority that will hold the society back. Glad that in Canada, they're very few. But imo, acceptation of differences should follow and children should be educated early when it comes to that.

I have a hard time tolerating Mormons myself.

I'm watching the documentary 8: The Mormon Proposition right now. These sleazeballs in the Church administration didn't even allow blacks until 1978. :andy2:

I believe you :) So what's the topic for tonight?

I'm trying to figure out whether or not to text this one night stand back or not. Truth be told, I don't want to meet her again but should I just let her know, or be a coward and say nothing?
