The maid was fired because Claudio needed drug money, so he took a bunch of laptops from his own home and traded/sold them. Then he framed the maid and since his entire family is kind of racist they immediately accepted the fact that the indigenous maid was the thief. At first the poor lady held on to her innocence, but once they called in their family members from the police who in turn threatened the maid to take away her rape babies if she did not plead guilty.
