I have a problem enough with sandals as it is, though. I think they're worn way too often, and in the worst way. I can't tell you how many women are in supposed business attire for the workday in downtown SF and are wearing flip-flops like they're at the friggin' beach. And then getting out of the subway one someone steps on their heel because you have 20 people pressed together, they get all huffy for their choice in completely impractical footwear.
