Those were different men man. Lets be real men before the automotive/ Industrial Age were serious hombres did a lot of manual labor and were a whole different breed. Now man are almost domesticated and don't have anything that really taps into that side if the brain
My next door neighbor is a total gear head. He builds cars that go like 200mph so I can understand the coolness behind it. But saying driving a fast car is the essence to manliness is silly, to each his own I guess.
I didn't say that. I said the automobile it self is part of the essence of man. The connection between man and machine. The control of the power even if its not fast. That's why gear heads like stick shifts. No one wants a slush box automatic that takes the soul out of driving
Yes agreed but the financial situation in Europe doesn't allow for muscle cars like we like. For instance my car avgs 23 mpg. For them that would be murder. In italia gas is 9.50 a gallon in a 16 gallon tank that would be $152.00! So in turn they don't have that ability financially. Although they love muscle cars and performance cars
The automobile is something which harkens to the essence in the male being. I never understood men who don't have an affection for them. Not mocking just don't understand

It's true I mean at least in the US and italia we love cars! The power, the handling the connection and control between man and machine. It's a bit primal
Has nothing to do with that. A true auto lover loves the car for what it is. An escape, a momentary diversion. Only BMW drivers use it as a penis extension
