:lol: Yeah, I don't see it harking back to the essence of the male being but cars are definitely cool.

In Italy they were never about power though. That's strictly an American thing. Look at Fiat and look at Chevy. Total opposites.
My next door neighbor is a total gear head. He builds cars that go like 200mph so I can understand the coolness behind it. But saying driving a fast car is the essence to manliness is silly, to each his own I guess.

I didn't say that. I said the automobile it self is part of the essence of man. The connection between man and machine. The control of the power even if its not fast. That's why gear heads like stick shifts. No one wants a slush box automatic that takes the soul out of driving
