Sometimes I feel bad for the people working in technical hotlines. I know it's not his fault, but I just ripped him a new one on the phone. My internet has been disconnecting 20-40 times per day for 3 months now and every time I call to see what the $#@! is going on they take my number and say that it's under observation. I went full retard on him on the phone and will get 3 months of free internet, further more I finally got a case in their files so they'll call my thursday to see what's up.

Actually something very similar happened to me a couple of months ago. I donno how different the call centers are in malta or america as compared to india (I have the idea that most of them are in India regardless of the country's problem they are solving

)
So anyways i moved to this new locality and just took a flyer and called their internet company to get it installed at my new place. The guy arrived at my address within and hour of my call huffing and puffing. He showed me all the offers they had and acted cute and innocent as a puppy, he was in sales so i figure that's his job. I told him about the internet problems i had earlier and he promised that i wouldnt have those with his company, i knew he was trying to make a sale and all and i told him that, i just asked him for an assurance that i will get the service he promised and if there is a problem the call center is not able to solve then he will take care of it. He agreed and another hour later the tech arrived to do the installation. Now he climbed up the roof and put their modem as far up as he could, i followed him and he pointed the other 4 main modems there were in the locality, all on the roofs of appartments building near by.
To cut a long story short and get to the point i started having problems with the internet within a week of making the payment, called the call center and every time they solved my problem it would come back then next day. Every time i called the call center using my number the waiting time would extend. After a month i got pissed off and called the sales guy, told him about the whole issue. He said sorry and told me he would get right on it and would settle the issue in 24 hours. A week and 3 more calls to the sales guy later the problem was still there. Finally i called him, told him that if he does nto get rid of this problem within the day i would smash all the 4 modems mounted around my building. I told him his tech told me that they provide the internet to the whole colony and to make him believe me i smashed one of them.
Around 400 people were without internet for the 12 hours that took him to solve my problem and install a new modem and its been a month that my internet has been running without a problem.
