Jestem Głupi.

Anyway. Conclusion time on my dissertation, along with lit review and at some stage reworking methodology, although my methodology is: I'm going to read books to apply a model to a case study.

My lit review got a 71 on its first draft (research methods module) so its good to go, my methods im finishing today and the results write up will take me a few days at most. Then conclucions and formating. Its not much left, but im working 6 days a week in costa so i have fuck all free time. Whats your topic? I'm doing 'Occupying the front page: A critical discourse analysis and content analysis of newspaper reporting of the Occupy London protests & Student protests of 2010'

 You're doing good  do you know some funny words ? Or sentences ? :D
From which polish city is your gf ?
One of my hobbies is to find funny linguistic (i suppose) falicies. One i've i have picked up in polish is . Moze jutro morze? Or to annoy my girlfriend i say 'jestes czeski?' (a word i found by accident, messing around with polish suffixes and czesc) to which i reply 'jestem polska kurwa' :klin:

She is from Pleszew, near Poznan. I've been to Poznan 3/4 times + Koszalin, Dabki in the north and some other towns. We are planning a month travelling around Warszawa, Lodz, Krakow, Gdansk and some other places next year. I was supposed to be going to wedding in Dabki in a few weeks but dissertation and work has taken over and we can't go. :(

Yeah kurwa is the most popular word in poland :D
I know some people from Poznan, there is a lot of hot girls there also :D Dąbki is a popular city f.ex for children camps, my brother is actually there :) And i would not recommend you going to Łódź, most people in Poland say that it's one of the ugliest city here. I was there a couple of times and I also didn't liked it.

Say to your gf " Masz ładne/fajne cycki " she should like it, it means " You have nice tits " :D You can write it in google translate to find out how you should pronounce it :D

nie

September 12th I think, but I'm leaving Aber in 10 days so will have to redraft elsewhere until early Sept as I can't submit before August 31st. I have yet to do a lit review, I hate the things but will work on it a bit today after my conclusions. Methods should be easy because my topic is based on Secret Intelligence and Terrorism so no primary sources, no qualitative methods, only Case Study. It's about intelligence ethics and Northern Ireland. So no posty discourse analysis, I managed to avoid it my finding a model of ethicality :p

Poznan? You'd want to upgrade to Warszawa mate.

My methodology is written as - 'im using content analysis because its fucking brilliant....i'm using discourse analysis because i have too' - we are required to use 2-4 research methods, you can only use one if the primary method was a visual analysis - nothing compliments it.

Fuck, is that a research masters then? I had no methods class or anything, in fact my topic is based so much on contested concepts and a lack of literature that A) My methodology and introduction are the same chapter because the nature of the topic has like you forced a specific approach B) My final chapter is Synthesis and Results of Analysis because of the themes are too broad.

So my topic requires a strict method, but deals with contested concepts

66% taught, 33% research, its awarded as taught though. A few people got pissed off with it and changed to an M.Phil. about 50% of my coursework was actual research and not literature study. I'd argue that time i spent doing research was equal to the time i spent in a lecture theater/writing essays. But my Diss is like a mini Phd. 20 000 words, multiple methods etc.

At least you're getting some form of methodology, we end up picking up bits and pieces from our supervisors but no real in-depth anything :(
I prefer doing research to critical review: Testing theory against reality is a really interesting and rewarding thing to do. Methods was a really dull module though & i'll have to do it again when i get funding for a PhD.

I would prefer that too, I think, though what we do is different in many ways.
