I rather like flying, so long as it isn't too long a flight.

Few beers, window seat, music on and ignore the world.

Flying over the Alps to Italy in that fashion was particularly enjoyable.

could think of a 1000 worse ways to die, flying is cool as long as there are no babies or loud/obnoxious a-holes around you. And hey theres always valium :D
exactly!!! nothing pisses me off more than babies on flights!! even though i know the parents have no choice about it some times you have to travel when u have too, however i cant understand certain parents who let there kids roam up and down causing chaos on a flight while they so casually sleep with no care in the world!! that is what constitutes as a horrible flight for me. turbulence etc dont really bother me its just the kids and annoying people.

I fucking hate it. I pretend to read or sleep, but I'm really just hoping we don't crash. Prefer trains.
really? i dont know aaron last winter break i was stuck and had to take a train back to cairo from aswan which is a 13 hour ride, easily one of the worst 13 hours ever spent. its boring, loud, and there is no way you can sleep bec guess what?!?! the minute you find that comfy spot in the seat a door slams or another passing by train passes by. i think it would've been different if i had managed to find a ticket on board the bed and dinner train or if i had a friend on board with me, but going solo in a 1st class seat for 13 hrs is torture :D

You don't know what you're talking about.:stuckup::D

I just dislike it. It's unsettling. I don't freak out or anything, just really uncomfortable. I've been on 6 and 8 hour flights.

eat the babies.
i hope you dont judge me, but i was once on a flight back to cairo from my parents and you know when u leave yr folks you really are'nt in a great mood :D any way this one kid annoyed the hell out of me, and he topped his act by closing my inflight screen and smile so i waited until he passed near me and i pinched him under his arm!! :D needless to say the kid erupted in tears but luckily for me his dad did'nt quite grasp what had happened and it passed by but i felt a rare sense of victory on board one of those egypt Air flights :D

I took a 13 hour train ride down the East Coast of the US and it was awesome. I met a bunch of people, had some drinks, and at night people actually went to sleep. Trains are like a cradle for me, rocks me to sleep. Then when I got to my destination, the train guy quietly woke me up to tell me we were at my destination.

It was loud for a bit because it was the middle of March Madness (college basketball championships) and a bunch of fans were traveling from NY to various other places. Then these German guys showed up with a 6 foot sandwich and fed the whole car. The we started passing around liquor and then everyone went to sleep.:D
