but i am an evil capitalist whos against things that sound good

fortunately or unfortunately, it is like this almost everywhere in the world politicians will always use polarizing and often irrelevant issues to divert from the real ones. Egypt is a great country with proud people, they will overcome this and soon hopefully

stay strong and positive my friend.
there is nothing wrong with being an evil capitalist

i'm against people who blame an economical way for trouble as every single system has its advantages and disadvantages Deneb, i'm just shocked how we can reach that specially at a time where every one for the first time in egypt's history does'nt have his*her head buried like an ostrich in the sand. they r def trying to divert attention from the real issues and getting people to get involved in the minor aspects which have no real impact on our life as a country to mask how this parliament has failed miserably in acknowledging people's expectations. i hope you r right regarding us over coming it, but one fact remains, the higher the illiteracy rate the more chances a revolution back fires.
To paraphrase Abel: dipshitism is genetic, not just learned.
Ugh. Ahmed, this sort of smokescreen politics also happens in so-called "civilized" or stable countries. Worse is having a country like Egypt, and you have to think, "We shed all this bloodshed to overturn decades of these clowns for what? To debate why daughters should be sent back to the Dark Ages and have their nookies removed??"
I can sympathize. But don't be too embarrassed. Part of it is the human nature issue: people are riled up and not motivated as much by the head as they are by the heart or guts. As such, a program to promote small business loans and to foster more employment won't receive as visceral a response as something retarded like why women should not enjoy sex as the solution to the world's problems.
oh greg you have hit three nails by this post!! people are def motivated by the heart and guts in post revolution egypt!! all you have to do is read about the food packs that were given to get people's votes in the parliament elections a stunt previously preformed by the mubarak regime. people in my opinion dont believe in change to the degree they rather have there food given to them today than wait for politicians empty promises being fulfilled. you know the last statement in yr paragraph has a lot of truth in it. believe it or not in the rural parts of egypt namely the southern parts of the country this practice of removing a part of the clitoris or all of it has its supporters as its a cultural thing in these parts?!?! specially popular amongst the un-educated. i think they r tryign to tickle those people's as they remain the majority greg after years and years of neglect in educating them. i hope such laws are not passed from a human stand point, and i pray people realize from now on we need to be super careful when electing people to represent us. i think the educated people need to raise awareness to others that its not just about the food packs given but yr vote can really change the way yr children and grand children will live in the near future. only then will we rid our selves of these clowns who use there radical understanding of religion to play with people's emotions and religious vibes.
it's not just egypt. they've been practicing it in one of the countries in africa (I forgot which.) read an article about it sometime ago, the girls want it abolished but well, since sex is sin and apparently women aren't allowed to enjoy it, circumcise your clit it is.
sal that country is sudan, according to the program i was watching last night that had this debate egypt and sudan both remain the only countries in the world where this done. ultra conservative saudi arabia does not permit this, nor does any other islamic country hence the religious label to this sickness is invalid!!
sadly how our cultures are soo backwards, sex is def regarded as a sin!! even with in wed lock!! last night a woman called and wanted to keep her identity to her self, stated that her life was destroyed bec at the tender age of 6 her dad toke her to one of those clincs to get her clit removed or shortened and how she never enjoyed intercourse with her husband, to the degree it toke a tv program on tv once to bring to her attention that sex is made so that both the man and woman enjoy it, as opposed to what she thought, that sex was just a means of having children!! thats sad and unfair if i'm honest and sex is such a taboo topic here even though religion speaks a great deal about it, yet we oriental people feel its not as important as its made out to be, as if we really think sex is over-rated unless you want to have children.
