One of my favorite non-sequiturs of a couple years ago was sitting on the sidewalk in front of a cafe and catching someone walking by in mid-paragraph say, "I used to be black..."

I still haven't figured out what context that still works.

Better than the time in front of the same place I heard someone say, "Isn't that the place where Tom got food poisoning?"
