Kate, forget about all the dressing advise u recieved for India. You can wear whatever you want (or nothing) while you are here. We just won't go south towards Dee's nazi territory where they might have moral police :p

Seriously though i have never had problems while travelling with foreign(or local) friends in India while they are dressed "provocative", i don't know what experiences sheik and greg based their opinions on.

I feel ya

I went to go see Radiohead last week and they are much better live than what their albums lead us to assume. There was a point where every bandmember was playing the drums (different types). I truly prefer deep cuts when I go see bands as opposed to hip-hop acts where they rarely have unreleased material due to mixtapes.

But the things that Radiohead does with sounds and different inputs like the telephone board interface is absolutely amazing.
Cool. We almost went to see them in Austin last Wednesday, but the scalpers were outta control. We almost saw Angelique Kidjo instead, whom I really like as well.

That is kinda true. ;)

But even in 44-degree heat, men wear long pants there. Like the Italians. Shorts are for small boys and all.

Women have very comfortable options, but they are typically quite gorgeous and they follow suit in cutting la bella figura unless they're the more modern/Western type.

I don't think I could pull off the local styles.

Jesus christ is always watching over me, even when I masterbate & take a shit.

I believe he may be a 'voyuer'...
As stated in the TV show Louie (which I love) between Louie and the uber-Christian who wants to stop masturbation: "So you mean that married couples having sex is like porn for God? Isn't that kind of sick?"

Don't. Some Westerners do it, and they look like the Western-Desi version of wiggas.

Weren't you the one who said a mob attacked and tore off the dresses of some girls during new years? :D

Anyway, I'm just being cautious like a good friend should be. :D

I hear there are plenty of 'lady boys' in India.
I feel for the guys who found that out and provided you with the info.

True, once uni the only time you can wear shorts is during you morning/evening jog or if u are chilling back home. The dressing sense for women have changed drastically in the past 5-6 years, i hardly see the 'salwar suits' these days unless i am back in my hometown. Culture is in decline.

That's the best thing about local styles. You don't have to pull them off.

And you would look gorgeous in one of those desi suits greg speaks of.

That was one in a decade incident and could have happened to a woman wearing a burka. :D the crowd was drunk and assholes by birth who would do the same thing to their family women when drunk.

Ive seen worse in China and Brighton :D Don't scare people away!
