One of the early curiosities of my wife and I not long after we met is that we discovered that we are both massive closet fans of The Monkees (deep catalog and all). The overplayed tribute on the death of a band member is a bit much, but there's a lot of Monkees being played around the house lately.

Sorry I disappeared on you last night, I passed out from reading exhaustion But yes, I discovered the Monkees at around 14 and have been a huge fan ever since. Head is still one of my favourite films, and some of their Nilsson covers are pretty amazing. I've been watching some of the old show lately as well, it is funny how the jokes change as you get older. They were a huge part of my cultural upbringing

Yep, I view political parties as being a scab on the democratic process - I've spoilt my ballot in the 4/5 elections i've been able to vote in to protest the political party system.

I think it'll pass. It's sort of like a pre-test to the 15 page we have to do at the end of the semester, it's in the Uni's interest to get as many people up to the final test so they can get their bucks.
