I tend to be anti- anything that's really in your face about how much better it is than what someone else thinks (this includes militant factions of my own beliefs as well), but the Jesus one really gets me hard. Possibly because some friends from high school, who had no inclinations towards Jesus at the time, now seem brainwashed by partners into posting daily psalms. But I think I missed your post in the midst of a bunch of anti-meat eating that seems to have popped up.

But that's another thing, you can't delete them as it might be an affront, but everything they post makes your skin crawl. I just hide them.
I'm a humanist and I couldn't give a fuck what other people believe as long as its personal, which is how I try to keep my beliefs - I do get riled up and bitchy about stuff, but i've learnt that arguing with people that have taken a step off the logical train wont get me anywhere. I oppose organised religions which is a seperate entity entirely to a personal belief and I haven't debated that with a person that can justify organized religion.

On a side note, whats pinterest?

I hated when I can't sleep :moan:
Thats past tense, you mean you hate. And yeah I'm in the same boat, though I dont mind it much, pretty much only night I have off and dont need to sleep early for work, so no problemo being bit insomniac right now (even if its weird I been up for 24 hrs now and not sleepy).

A status update that just appeared on my Facebook: "I like Pinterest, but I need to make sure I am using it to benefit my family, as Jesus intended".

And she means it.
Pinterest is clearly the sign of the devil. She needs to wake up and read the scriptures.

ask her how facebook is benefiting her family as Jesus intended
Good point. :agree:

At the moment im happier just making my own coffee, I do a better job of it.
Always a great option when you can. (Yes, Abel, I bought some "dessert coffee" this morning from Epicenter Cafe to take home for home use. :D)

Do you oppose organized political parties?

On a side note, whats pinterest?
Stay ignorant. Believe me, you'll be glad you did.

Shit like that is why I quit Facebook.
Wanting back a wasted half hour of my day every day is why I quite Facebook.

That's it, so many of those things are personal. And I understand wanting to share emotion, but it's the criticism of others that irritates me. Sometimes the lines aren't so clear between the two.

Pinterest is a website where you can "like" pictures, it's almost like a scrapbook/lookbook from photos you've found anywhere on the net that you want to keep in one place. Good for people like me who like fashion and like to keep "cut outs" of looks they like.

And Greg, I think I am regressing to the flowy dress/candles era. I can't stop listening to the Mac :scared:

I like grooves like that. There was a time a couple years ago I went completely retro into Iggy & the Stooges like it was still 1973 or something. So I say dwell on it for all its worth.

That said, I have some Mac moments too. Driving into Marin County here is like Fleetwood Mac 1977 all over again at times, and it's kind of cool in the right context.

And hey, anything that makes those Flashdance sweatshirts seem like haute couture, ya know. ;)

I do enjoy it very much, though I have a feeling my partner in crime is not overly keen (though it does bring back happy childhood memories for him to hear Rumours).

And anything beats the crappy radio station my colleague listens to all day. One can only handle but so much Gaga.

One of the early curiosities of my wife and I not long after we met is that we discovered that we are both massive closet fans of The Monkees (deep catalog and all). The overplayed tribute on the death of a band member is a bit much, but there's a lot of Monkees being played around the house lately.
