Vodka is too flavorless and boring. It's just people trying to add inebriation to a drink as an ingredient.

I'll take grappa, armagnac, whisky, Scotch, rye, bourbon, gin, wine, rum, cachaça, etc. all over vodka anyday. Have some creativity and some huevos in your flavor palate, for crying out loud.

Though sometimes I like a nice vodka martini.

Dude, the number one fear is public speaking, not having a drink. So if you want to show bravery that's your podium. :D

Anything worth seeing? My folks will be in country in a month or so.
For scenic attractions these are some of the best places to visit; Wicklow Mountains National Park, The Boyne Valley, Cliffs of Moher and the Ring of Kerry <insert joke here>

Galway and Cork are great for cultural events like festivals and the likes, Dublin has all the decent museums and art galleries etc but is pricey enough and filled with Dubs

If they fancy just getting pissed for a week just tell them to go to Galway and I'll look after them :D
