Differences. It might come off completely shallow, but we've been together for the better part of three months and I just can't take the final physical step with her. I might actually be on the road to falling in love with her, which will be the first time in 3 years I've had feelings for any girl - but today we sat and talked. She wants to get married in the next year or two, and doesn't really want to .. fulfill the relationship before we have a date and a ring has been put in it's place. She'd also like the first kid before she's 23. Now, I'm 20 years old and if I don't have shit to do I can barely force myself to look presentable. I enjoy playing video games for a few hours every day, go out with my friends a few times a week and get a bit pissed, I like spending 10 hours of my Saturday watching football and there just isn't room for that in the relationship she is looking for. So I decided to break it off, and now I feel pretty miserable.

Everyone else, join in - share your happy valentine stories :weee:
Good move I say, having a kid (especially) and being married at 21/22 would be great fun...not!!!

I don't think girls really mean it when they say they want to have kids/get married by a certain age early in a relationship

ps I am trying to apply for mgmt consulting jobs (although graduated in civil engineering) and it's terribly competitive, resume looks so bland against these high achieving bastards

hang in there ;) its gonna sound weird but enjoy what you have now
I know what you mean. I am, but i'm fed up, i want to have some real responsibility and have a challenging job.

I wonder what everyone works as. Did we have a thread for that?
That would be interesting.
