You say that, but it is a major social/cultural thing that trascends borders. There has been centuries of development in making it properly and understanding how different things affect its flavour and doing stuff like pouring boiling water over an espresso just pisses all over that work and it means you are missing out on how its supposed to taste. I actually got into an argument with someone when they were making me a coffee when i first ordered it and they told me I was wrong and that everyone in NZ/Aus makes it that way. I am a barista maestro, placed third in my regional barista of the year contest, i hadnt made a coffee in 6 months when i did it, & work as a manager in a coffee shop that has really high standards in all aspects of production. Fuckers!
