I don't like tea or coffee with milk but short blacks (with 2 sugars) are the best. You must like them at least.

Everyone around me tells me the same. Coffee, tea, chocolate, cakes... Not a fan at all.

I'm the only one in the office who drinks water in the morning while everyone else is drinking coffee and smoking. I find it lame

Why can't you guys in the southern hemisphere call coffee by the right name?

Long Black = Americano and the way you serve it in Australasia burns the espresso

Short Black = Espresso, and I didnt have a single nice espresso in either country. And the flat white - Why? Because of you fucks when I work back at my coffee shop i have to make it and it tastes horrible. And you guys dont heat the milk properly for latte based espresso drinks.

I'm a pretty healthy eater when I go out but at home I have the eating habits of a morbidly obese man. I don't think I'm ever not hungry except for like 20 minutes after eating a big meal.

You say that, but it is a major social/cultural thing that trascends borders. There has been centuries of development in making it properly and understanding how different things affect its flavour and doing stuff like pouring boiling water over an espresso just pisses all over that work and it means you are missing out on how its supposed to taste. I actually got into an argument with someone when they were making me a coffee when i first ordered it and they told me I was wrong and that everyone in NZ/Aus makes it that way. I am a barista maestro, placed third in my regional barista of the year contest, i hadnt made a coffee in 6 months when i did it, & work as a manager in a coffee shop that has really high standards in all aspects of production. Fuckers!

I dont have a chip on my shoulder, i just hate australia.

You probably got coffee in australia from real 'australians' that know jack shit about cultured stuff. They think they invented things like sundried tomato, eating at cafes and roasted & marinated eggplant. And I call espressos short blacks because more people would know exactly what a short black is rather than espresso over here.
