I agree with Matty. A good friend of mine has been with this girl for about 5 months and it's been 4 months since we don't hang out. Even when he rarely talks to me on facebook or messenger, he only talks about his girlfriend.

The guy even talks about marrying her! Wtf! He's only 18 years old!

I'm twenty, I have two good friends who have kids already and are on their way to marriage. This hasn't stopped us from calling eachother up, hanging out whenever the opportunity shows itself etc. There is a difference between not having time enough to maintain a relationship and simply not caring because you are satisfied at the moment, and when the moment of satisfaction passes you return to your old friends acting like nothing has happened.

Well some people just can't function on their own, simply put. They have to be in a relationship even if the person they're with makes them miserable. It all boils down to self esteem.

My best best friend has been dating with his girlfriend for like a year now. And nothing, and i mean nothing has changed between us. We are hanging out every day, do all this stuff together.... It really depends on what kind of a person you are nothing more. What Swag is saying is completely true but it is only true for people who are beginning to get serious, got married, have children, jobs etc. When it is a simple "childish" relationship and nothing is certain, then it is utterly stupid to ditch your friends because of a girl....... Yep. And they are who they are. Some of my best friends just can't be left alone with their personal demons. I'm glad when a woman fills that, even though it may put a real cramp on our interactions. Everybody still has to make an effort. But hey -- he's a good friend, I've known him a long time, and it could be 6 months since we chatted and we can pick up where we left off. Life is like that sometimes.
