So, anyway.
It's friday night, and I'm getting mentally prepared for the Queensryche concert in Boston on Saturday night, and I get an e-mail around 8:30 saying that the concert has been postponed due to Geoff Tate (The lead Vocalist, and one of the greatest voices in music history) has taken ill with his vocal chords, and the concert has been postponed to an as of yet announced date.
So, I'm pissed off, naturally, as Queensryche are one of my favorite bands of all time.
I call Julio's Liquors the next morning to see if the wine tasting (he has his own label of wine called "insania". Good stuff. At 40.00 per bottle, it better be decent at least.)
Lo and behold, the event is still on.
I was 30th in line, so I got my gift set of wine signed, as well as a poster. There were about 300 people in line by the time my wife and I left.
So, in short, I got to meet one of my favorite singers of all time, get autographs, talk about music and wine, and get a couple of pictures as well. Needless to say, the day wasn't a total loss.

Wacky. I remember buying their first EP when they started. I pretty much followed them until Mindcrime, which was great, but somehow started to lose interest/track. (Holy crap, was that just a vBulletin auto-save I just witnessed!? 
) I remember going around Bellevue, WA -- their home turf right across of Lake Washington from Seattle, where I was attending a summer of grad classes at UW -- wondering if I was going to run into somebody. 
Sounds like a cool tradeoff.

Is it fuck anything political.
Just a bunch of cunts taking advantage of a situation for their own amusement/gain.
Good.
Those riots in Tottenham. Get the army on the streets and purge the fucking bastards.
What really bugs me is how I see these situations being policed compared to football.
Here the police lack numbers and just stand and watch stuff happening.
There are zillions of police at the football and they are itching to get stuck in with police horses and what not.
But no, best just stand back and watch people causing criminal damage and risking lives by starting heaps of fires.
