One of the most interesting treatises I read about living healthy and managing weight is the principle of making your own meals. The more you depend on dining out or the packaged, processed food you buy in markets, the more that's trouble. There's something about the act and the ingredients of making your own meals that apparently correlates the highest with healthy weight balance and health in general.
Eh, maybe. But unless you cook absolutely 100% of the food you eat there's nothing stopping you from doing lots of unhealthy snacking. You can take my word for it.

No, scratch that. After I learned the recipe for a certain cake I made it like 4 times in a couple of weeks. So not even that really works.

What about my moms cooking for me ? :p
Since moms have only so many hours in the day, you're probably OK.

It's not perfect. But I found it interesting that the collective intelligence coming out now points to making your own meals as the biggest correlation to a healthy weight balance.

But, as you point out Martin, making your own Twinkies might skew the results a little. ;)

Just going through my photos of the past year....a lot changes. Tomorrow a year ago i broke up with my girlfriend because she was fucking one of my closest friends. Since then I have lost about 60 Pounds/28Kilos, had my hair cut to make me look at least slightly attractive. Been skiing in a mountain range 100 miles from any urban conurbations in Norway and the rest of the shit I posted in the other thread about travelling. Damn I wish I were on the great wall today.
That's awesome. I'm happy for you! :dule:
