She offered the choclate right after she tried to give him the money. So, it was obvious that it wasn't the odd sweet tooth. She felt obliged to give him something in return, as if she was feeling bad about Shiek paying for a dinner that he wanted to pay for. It's not like Shiek's co-workers held a gun at him so he can pay for the whole thing. He was trying to be nice, and just a lovely gesture. She could have paid for his dinner next time or just got him choclate without trying to give him the money. :)
I know what you meant, I was kidding. But like I said, there is nothing offending in this at all, I would act the same way as she did with someone I am not close too, it would be ugly to reject joining Sheik's dinner when everyone accept, she felt she should do something in return, paying money wasn't really a good idea thou.

I wouldn't care much to these small details, everyone is different, think/act different, but I totally understand her. I don't know if you Lebanese say it this way, here they woould "ma bheb shil mnniyet haddan". Do you know what that means?

What was the dinner Shieky? Don't say it is fast food, when you have the best food in the world. Man I would kill for going to Indian/Paki restaurant

I don't think so. Anytime's a good time for chocolate.

Well not RIGHT AFTER. There was a gap of about 2 hours to that. I told her I won't accept the cash. Just maybe a favour sometime in the future. I didn't expect it so soon though.
.
Who in their right mind would say no to choclate:D
2 hours, she thought about it. So, she was a bit shy probably. Seems like a nice lady

I get it abo shreek.
i have some friends like that, I tell them you buy next round if they insist on me not paying. Maybe because it's Co-workers, and not close friends. I would understand why she did this. I don't find any problem with that. As long as you having fun then that's what matter, as you said those little details aren't worthy of attention.
We Lebanese say alot of things, so probably yes. I totally get it. :D

It was pizza from Pizza Hut. There's not many good restaurants around my workplace, which is almost like the outskirts of the city. The team doesn't order pizza very often, so today was the day. I just chose to pay for it.

And yeah, that's true about owning someone.

@Moh: She is a bit shy, yeah.

Man. As a Chicagoan where there's no excuse for mediocre pizza, I am still in shock that people step up to the trough and go for Pizza Slut.
As a person of German descent, I feel that way about beer. I drink cheap American shit because it's just that, cheap.

I talked to some fool redneck farmer today who said he went to a really nice place to eat one time and he had a Coors or Bud Light. Then when I asked what he drinks when he wants to drink something nice, his retort was a simple, "Mich Ultra."

I'm not sure how bad it is in the US, but over here, it's definitely better the dried up shit Dominoes delivers. These are the top 2 vendors here, with Pizza Corner and US Pizza and 3rd and 4th.
Ten years ago I'm walking with my boss through the streets of London. I'm looking at all the great restaurants and interesting food options on the south bank of the Thames, across the Tower of London. My boss goes scouring for a Pizza Hut.

    Literally.

    I'm like, "What the f*$#?!?!"
