He's an attention-seeking prick and he lied under oath in a case where he sued a newspaper to win that case.

That lying has now caught up with him and he's likely to do some jail time.

But aren't most or arguably all politicians are like that. The only difference he got caught red handed. Good thing he is going to get locked. Those shower sessions will probably teach him something. Show me a politician though that hasn't lied . To reach a such high status, you have do plenty of favors and make up plenty none sense. When you decide to work in politics, you have to check your morals and principles at the door, otherwise you aren't going to last.

A lot of politicians have lied about wars and corruption in normal life. Does it make it less serious, because it wasn't under oath!?!

I actually think it is relatively rare for politicians to lie. They are more likely to just tell half truths, which is different.

And I consider the proper working of a justice system, which was at stake here, to be every bit as important as what is happening in politics.
