Bleh. At least I'm not working in a bank, it would be even worse.

The more there's at stake and the more it cost to build something decades ago, the more resistant the people are to change it, so poor saps end up hacking on archaic code.

Who are you kidding, with the amount of posts you make here, your job probably resembles that of The IT Crowd guys. :p

When you have to offload a full container truck, with just one more person, it can be real hard. I don't just sell pipes, I sort them, box them, drive them, load them, unload them, etc. And I don't sell by the piece, I'm wholesale so I handle huge heavy boxes on a daily basis. Luckily, wholesale has very slow days quite often. :D

Indeed, I always wondered why they stick with them. But when you think about it, a simple retail store doesn't really need that much from a software terminal, only to print a check and correctly discharge an item from the lager list/stock list.

My firm however... :cool:

Well it's all in the family, so I can't complain really. I still have loads of free time obviously. :p

I actually prefer hard-working days as they tend to pass a lot faster than those spent on Juventuz. :D
