So I guess that since Bush did it, the Democrats have the OK to expand the government deficit 200% since Bush's second term. Despite Obama using deficits as a means to get elected, nobody cares anymore. Nobody would ever care about this stuff if Obama was white, so therefore, anybody that does care about deficits is a racist.

I wish I was more articulate and had more knowledge of the financial products contributing to our demise as a nation. If so, I wouldn't make any posts here, and dedicate my time to a financial blog. That would be more useful for everyone.

Shit has hit the fan, that's for sure. I am focused on myself and trying to get a career so I can generate enough wealth so that when I do have a family they won' have to work as hard as I am. Times are tough now but will be 10 times worse in 10-20 years I think, so I am doing everything I can to get ahead of the game.

Dude, just be weary of one thing. If the current policies supported by the Obama administration and the Federal Reserve are successful, your $5000 in savings RIGHT NOW will be worth under $1000 in the future. The Federal Reserve is trying to debase the currency to support asset values owned by large banks who would dissolve if those prices go down. This currency debasement is going on right now, right in our face. If the DX breaks below 70 there will be a run on the dollar and these commodity costs will go up in price no matter demand.
I'm not shitting you with this. The Dollar can rally higher from here on out because 99% of people think it will decline, but in the long run it doesnt matter. The policies Bernanke and the Fed promote will destroy the system in the long run.

It's that I know a bullshit smokescreen when I see one and I don't trust the motivations of anyone who cannot explain their absence and sudden appearance as anything but regressive clannish behavior triggered by a presidential election. Calling the Tea Party a fiscally motivated organization is no different than calling the Serbian fans in Genova last month motivated to support Serbia's Euro 2012 chances. Recognizing the root motivations of a group is critical -- and not just their outward policies -- because even Pablo Escobar found common cause ground with supporters on the right issues. Just ask post-WWI Germany about fiscal reconstruction policies with a morally corrupt foundation and what that leads to.
But let me put this in other, less-ever-popular-Hitler-analogy terms that may make more direct and relevant sense to you, Andy: if a change in president is what it takes for this so-called fiscal movement policy to suddenly appear, by inference doesn't that suggest that a similar change in president can just as easily make it disappear? This despite the fact that the fiscal policies of various Democrat + Republican parties since Reagan haven't really changed one iota, despite the new White House resident every so often over the past 25 years? Wouldn't you want your political movement to exist beyond the whims of administrations, seeing that the policies extend well beyond them? Then why associate with a group of clowns who didn't see the reason to exist before Oprah's [sic] election?
