There will always be loopholes.
We need to address the source of the issue, and that's the Mexican border. Not only do illegal Mexicans cross into the US, but also Somali, Chinese, and all other sorts of nationalities. That's how the majority of them come in, through the Mexican border.
Since the federal government doesn't do anything about the issue, the states are trying to deal with the issue themselves, as they should. And if that means another piece of paper for citizens in Arizona, so be it. We are required to have ID on us while driving, entering a bar, et cetera, so it isn't that much of a big deal.

no we need those illegal immigrants with no rights for cheap labor to be competitive against european goods which are made with the help of state grants and help, add on to that their contribution to the market as well as to taxes. Illegal immigration is not the problem, crime is.
It seems dumb to enact Mexican street sweeping laws without making any kind of reform on the corporate end. Where do people think the illegals will go once they've been deported? If they're Latino, they're probably coming back. So you get this endless cycle of deportation and border crossings. More money being blown on problem that isn't being solved. It seems like another War on Drugs to me.

The flip side of that is the lower wages for legal workers. Get rid of the illegals, drive up wages, drive up saving and investment, drive up more production. But the system doesn't want that... it wants a Ponzi economy.
