Yeah, I swim parallel to the beach too. Call me just a little bit paranoid if you will but I'm a lot more comfortable in a pool than out at sea swimming :D Plus less chance of jellyfish where more people are I suppose.

In Europe I haven't seen nets extending into the sea like you describe, but you can pick a point on the beach to swim towards if you want, I do that sometimes. I still don't enjoy the sea too much though. And swallowing water is a lot more annoying too. :D

Oh man that's heaven, alone in the pool, hell even alone in the lane. Where I swim I rarely get enough space to swim undisturbed, I have to go around other people :lazy:

And yes it does make you feel awesome, damn true :D

Except they closed my pool for renovation a few weeks ago. :irritated
jelly fish------------> agreed!!!! i hate swimming in the Mediterranean bec of jelly fish!! the bastards are present most of the time and i always get lashed on my feet

taking in salt water---> annoying too but is'nt very far from taking in pool water high on chlorine :D

well the reason i have the pool for my self is simply bec people leave saudi arabia in the summer to escape the heat while i on the other hand come over to saudi to see my parents for a month or so every year hence the pool is empty bec the lucky bastard are probably splashing the water near u martin.

i can imagine trying to swim with a filled pool, god thats annoying to be honest. i dont mind people but i hate it when kids try there cannon balls in my lane. makes u want to grab one of them and drown him :D

Wait, so your parents live in Saudi? But you're Egyptian? That's weird.

Don't get me started on people. There's all kinds of ways to be annoying. Some people swim in groups of 2 or 3, next to each other so they can chat. Like they can't just chat in café instead. Of course they are slow swimmers. Then there are people who just don't pay any attention to where they're going "I own the road" kind of mindset. So you have to watch out for collisions. But mainly it's just because the pool is too crowded, even at 7am :lazy:

     those are really annoying examples specially the groupies!!! i hope after yr pool is done with renovations these freaks get there act straight. if not then i guess u have to try making it before the crowds show up even if its for lesser time in the water but what can u do with these morons crowding the water with there stupidity!!

as for saudi, my parents both work here. i was actually born and raised here and then i moved to cairo for uni. they come over in summers but this year they decieded to stay bec my dad has a few appointments with his dr spread out thru the summer and he hates dr in egypt so i came over to see them.

Its not weird at all actually. :p

Its very common of Egyptians to live in Saudi Arabia and other gulf countries. Income levels and standard of living in the gulf countries is much higher than the rest of the Arab world, so Arabs from all over the place come to the gulf.

exactly!! :D but the quality of egyptains in saudi is very different to the ones u have in emirates. back in the day it was the other way around but when the boom years started in uae most of the egyptains who remained in the gulf moved to uae, while the egyptains that come to saudi now are mainly from the country side or skilled workers.

the same applies to iraq too, although there are a lot of egyptains who moved to iraq for work and money despite the harsh conditions. i guess that in it self speaks volumes on how raising a family and being responsible financially for it is a hard thing to do.

p.s i hate most of the egyptains in the uae!! they r snobbish as hell!!!

Thats why I said I miss the Old 50. The guy is too mainstream these days.

Power of the Dollar an album few have heard about that is associated with 50 Cent is one absolute amazing album. Released in 97 I think.
