yup!! :D 2 days in a row martin, the first time i swam for an hour and i was shattered i barely had energy to go again :D ( no fitness what so ever!!) the second day i pulled 2 hours and i got out bec i was starving and thought i'd call it a day. the 3rd and today where the first time i went past 2 hours. i actually enjoy swimming a great deal whether in a pool or in the sea it does'nt matter for me. my friends dont swim in the sea they hate it ( i think they r wussies :D ) the only reason i stopped today was the reason u mentioned, i was STARVING!!!

I was trying to swim in the sea, but I couldn't make it work. Basically, it stinks. The waves/currents are disruptive to my rhythm, there's nothing to swim towards to give you a goal in mind, nothing to tell you how far/long you're swimming, not even how fast because the water isn't still.

I swim 45min, that does it for me. Over here pools have ridiculous opening hours, basically they're never open longer than 1.5h at a time. So you have to plan very carefully lol (go swimming at 7am and stuff). At first I swam for 1h, but I would get too annoyed about coming a little late and missing a few minutes, so 45min is better. And it's long enough.

 u r spot on regarding swimming in the sea, although for me its fun specially when there are waves ( i can be a big kid i know!! :D ) next time u go i recommend u try swimming parallel to the beach this way u have a beginning and an end spot to turn around. usually over in egypt there are various beaches next to one another but they have nets to prevent people from sneaking from one beach to the other. thats why it kind of works here. i'm glad u did'nt give me the lame excuse my friends give me :D there reason for hating the sea is the fact there feet get into the mud :sergio:

that sucks martin!!! why the hell cant they be open for more than 1.5 hrs do they clean it every hour?? actually the pool i go to over here is part of a hotel near by and usually i'm there on my own for the 3 hours so i can actually swim back and forth with out having any one bother me with there cannon balls. 45 mins is good if u do it every day or at least every weak it will make u feel awesome.

Yeah, I swim parallel to the beach too. Call me just a little bit paranoid if you will but I'm a lot more comfortable in a pool than out at sea swimming :D Plus less chance of jellyfish where more people are I suppose.

In Europe I haven't seen nets extending into the sea like you describe, but you can pick a point on the beach to swim towards if you want, I do that sometimes. I still don't enjoy the sea too much though. And swallowing water is a lot more annoying too. :D

Oh man that's heaven, alone in the pool, hell even alone in the lane. Where I swim I rarely get enough space to swim undisturbed, I have to go around other people :lazy:

And yes it does make you feel awesome, damn true :D

Except they closed my pool for renovation a few weeks ago. :irritated
