People who cry at funerals creep me out man.
I think a lot of people cry because of the event rather than the death of the person. It's the people that are there that make you cry, not the one that is gone. At the funeral of my grandfather I had to read a little text about him. I think I was 10 or 11 at that time. And I cried at one point, but not because he had died (in fact I never did cry about his death, because he had had cancer for years and even as a kid I remember wanting him to die at some point), but because the entire church was full of people. There wasnt even enough room inside the church, so people were listening from outside too. I can't say why I cried really, I only know that that idea made me cry.

Ok while we are at football injury stories:
I played football with a couple of friends 3 weeks ago. My best friend good a blow on his right leg right under the knee on the muscle during a normal battle. Nothing serious. At least we thought so. It was just a blow so we thought he'd just get a bruise and he kept playing. Though the pain wouldn't leave after 2 days, his whole leg started to swell and and he couldn't lift or partly even feel his foot. So his girlfriend and me said you go to hospital now and get that checked.
Thank god we did.
He had an compartment syndrome, doctors started to panic when they checked the pressure on his muscle which was around 95 and should be 25. They instant cut his whole leg open from knee to ankle to save it. Later they said if he'd have came in an hour later they'd have needed to amputate his leg from the knee down.

From such shit. It's impossible that it happens just like that from such a little blow:sergio:
I don't know if you remember, but it's what happened to Matrix a couple of years ago.

If you can bend your knee 180 degrees without feeling any pain then you shouldn't worry.

Knee problems are mostly due to two things, fucked up pitch, bad warming up. Try warming up really good before each match and stretching your legs helps your knees a lot.

And btw, whenever you feel knee pain even if it's slight pain, stop the game to check it out and re-stretch again to see where it hurts.

Knees can never be messed with.
Wrong conditioning programs too. You see a lot of football players who are quadriceps dominant, while your quads place a great amount of stress on your ACL. Strong glutes and hamstrings take that pressure away, so one should always strive to become a glute and hamstring dominant athlete. It's the reason why people like Robinho and Ronaldo are less likely to tear their ACL's. What you see people doing at the gym is leg extensions for example, which not only places a lot of stress on the ACL, but also primarily strengthens and tightens the rectus femoris, which is one of the main culprits in anterior knee pain. Instead of such an exercise, people would be much better off with Deadlift variations and plyometrics, which generally make you favour your glutes and hamstrings.

Seven has anybody ever told you, you know too much for your own good?:p
Hehe.. struggled with a severe on and off case of patellar tendinopathy for years and I got sick of listening to what the doctors had to say about it. They were all qualified physicians no doubt, but they weren't the best in the world. So I looked up who was. And then I read their articles. Basically I studied like a madman until I somehow understood what exactly was wrong with my knee and what I could do about it.

Another thing is that ACL tear prevention is extremely important in football, so they talk about it at our team too.
