It's not *that* much when spread over 3 weeks. We did the same thing last year (France&Italy mostly), but also driving there from Poland. So this year is actually somewhat less driving.

The problem is not the distance. Calabrian and Sicilian drivers are particularly poor. Well, not poor, more like agressive.

Palermo is simply too annoying to drive in. You won't be in a car crash or anything, but it'll get you agitated. It gets everyone agitated.

can't be worse than Poland, and my driver is someone who grew up there so :D
