I guess we prefer to call it bucks and quids due to them having a single syllable. It's easier to say that during verbal conversations, and eventually gets using in casual forum posts.

It's not *that* much when spread over 3 weeks. We did the same thing last year (France&Italy mostly), but also driving there from Poland. So this year is actually somewhat less driving.
