I am from Lebanon (Middle East)
I moved to the USA in July 2001 to study courses of English, then hopefully after that pursue my dream of becoming a pilot. Then the sept 11 occurred, and being a pilot wasn't a good choice. They didn't even renew my student visa, and I ad to move to a university of Canada after my english courses. So I did a Bsc in chemistry and now working on my PhD, and I am happy with my choice.

But still, SCREW YOU BIN LADEN

Definitely Faby
I was treated like an Illegal Mexican immigrant that just jumped off a fence when I was applying to renew my visa. They took my passport, then after they they refused my application, I was out of status because it took them 3 months. So they kept the passport and asked me to go to court. So I went to the court infront of judge. I was going with a plan to tell the judge I only want to renew my visa to study, but once I went infront the judge I said "Sir, I have no longer any desire in staying in the USA, I have an a letter of acceptance from a University in Canada, and I will leave the country asap" He was like Ok. It was so quick, because I was just fed up.

17 hours for the PPL. Then to Miami for the CPL.
Great:hellyes: . I wish you good luck

Whoa that's really bad and humiilliating... So much for being the place where all races are accepted huh:D

I've never had major trouble getting my student or tourist visas... I'm guessing its way worse for arabic people.
My brother is currently renewing his tourist visa though and the amount of stuff he has to do is crazy. You should see the lenght of the application he has to fill out

Too much humilliating, and it is just not worth. That is why I haven't applied for another visa since the. I have many family members in the US, all of them ask me to come and visit, but I am just not interested in getting treated like shit for only visiting
