They both lived in/near a Lithuanian neighborhood in Chicago called Lithuanian Plaza (technically Marquette Park) when they met. And they are celebrating their 50th anniversary today. (Holy shit.)
Actually, here's a photo of the church they got married at 50 years ago today -- taken just last Christmas on my iPhone. It may be Chicago, but they still wave the Lithuanian flag...

I've never been, but I was planning to go in 2009 at first for the celebrations for Lietuva's 1000 years, etc. Then the whole credit crisis thing hit, my company collapsed, and that kind of put an end to it.

I would still like to go soon though. My father's family lineage is mostly from around Vilnius, my mother's side more from around Klaipėda.
