I love Canada as a country and people , but when it comes to hockey I just don't like you guys. I am just sick of all the Canadians around me hockey this and hockey that. I don't even watch hockey regularly, I only watched today because it was shown all over the bar and i was like I am cheering to whoever against Canada. Just don't take it personally man, but Canadians are annoying when they talk about hockey and team Canada. I even tell that to my Canadian friends. Nobody cares about hockey out side of Canada
Nobody cares about Canadians caring about hockey so much as you do, does that mean we should be douchebags and -rep you left and right?
You're in their country, man... have some respect.

No offence intended of course.

People care about hockey in Canada the way they care about football in Italy/Brazil/Argentina/France etc., etc. I guess you've probably had some bad experiences with some douchebag fans (which would be natural if you lived in Toronto, or Montreal... Joking... I'm a Bruins fan), but there are douchebag fans for every sport. We are certainly an intense group, though... no doubt.

If you had grown up playing the sport (which I'm assuming you didn't, but I could be wrong), and immersed in the hockey culture, you'd likely have a better appreciation for it. Definitely a wicked fun game, especially once you start getting good at it.

As for people caring about hockey outside of Canada, I think the Swedes (defending Olympic Champions), Russians, Czechs, Fins, and Slovaks would disagree. Obviously a lot of Americans would as well, but most of them are so preoccupied with Nascar, the NFL, dancing with the stars, and bumsex, that they often overlook the NHL.

Well if it's a big one and worth of going out, probably. :shifty:

What are you up to Martin?
Oh, it's fun packed day. My toilet broke, called the plumber and just below the floor there's a huge crack in the pipe. So now I'm trying to chase down the owner of the house to frickin pay to fix it.
