Hey, since everyone knows that carbon dioxide is deadly for the planet, doesn't dihydrogen monoxide sound scary as well?

Well, it is pretty horrible.

Dihydrogen monoxide:

-called "hydroxyl acid", the substance is the major component of acid rain.
-contributes to the "greenhouse effect".
-may cause severe burns.
-contributes to the erosion of our natural landscape.
-accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals.
-may cause electrical failures and decreased effectiveness of automobile brakes.
-has been found in excised tumors of terminal cancer patients.

Despite the danger, dihydrogen monoxide is often used:

-as an industrial solvent and coolant.
-in nuclear power plants.
-in the production of styrofoam.
-as a fire retardant.
-in many forms of cruel animal research.
-in the distribution of pesticides. Even after washing, produce remains contaminated by this chemical.
-as an additive in certain "junk-foods" and other food products.

So, who here is for banning dihydrogen monoxide? If you're against global warming, then you should be.

agua?

You know, what kind of country do we live in where a guy can't shoot up a post office and "go postal" without being presumed to be a terrorist just because he's Muslim? :(

Yes. I was able to fool a bunch of people on Facebook over it, with eventually them saying they want to ban H2O because it's harmful for the environment.

Yeah. Gold is the new mortgage-backed security. :pado:
What do you have against gold? It's better than fiat currencies, especially our dollar.
