Romania used to be a decent team, what happened to them now?

well, from 2002 we lost hagi, ilie, popescu and other guys from the "golden generation" of romania. There were some talents (chivu, mutu, lobont, marica) but it wasn't enough. + the referees destroyed our 2004 qualification for portugal. Imo this is where it all started . Then after it it's all history (mutu doped...no more talents...fraud and coruption in the national championship). We had some luck and qualified for the euro 2008 undeserfully beating holland (on the counter..that has become our style of playing now , sitting back and defend the whole 90 min's and if some miracle happens, maybe we score). This qualification was already lost when we lost at home 0-3 with latvia, 2-3 with serbia and when we kicked our piturca (our coach who brought us the 08 qualification).
