    15 inch 2.4 ghz 2 gb ram
Macbook, or MacbookPro, for the pro, it's a good deal, but you can get the Macbook cheaper.
it just is everything they promise, dell hp and the rest just give you the run around. my hp tablet just died and i couldnt get anyone to help me i think i am going to give macbook a try i am done with dell and hp
    Good call.

I got a brand new iPod 3 weeks after the 1-year coverage plan had expired because they think I've ordered 2 MacbookPros and 4 iPods in 3 years.

preach on borther, what kinda machine do you have?
Before laptops got so cheap I used to build my own machines and I had a pretty consistent stream of bad hardware come my way. I'd order something, discover it was busted, had to send it back, they'd send a replacement. Turnaround was 2 weeks at least, really annoying.

Since laptops it's gotten better, I haven't had any complete breakdowns. I've had an HP, Dell and Toshiba. Dell was the crappiest quality by far, battery dead after 9 months, screen sorta cracked so it doesn't close properly. But they all still work. No problems with the HP and the Toshiba (~1.5 years) is the most recent and just lovely.

yeah toshiba is good and you pick some for real cheap around here you can get something like 2.4 ghz 4 gb ram plus the bigger battery and the led screen for like 700 $
That's pretty much what I got and the extra memory is lovely. But then I probably do some heavy type stuff that most people don't need the extra memory for.

Dells are the biggest pieces of shit as well, I have a Dell notebook and the thing heats up so much I can cook bacon on it.

@Martin: I used to build my own PCs as well, then after my dell experience I tried a IBM thinkbad, that's a pretty good notebooks. Solid too, dropped it twice because I am a retard on drugs and it still works.

Yeah, Thinkpads have a really strong reputation. They're not the most stylized but in return they're rugged.

edit: Can't help you with the drugs :D
