Nothing pisses off a martyr more than robbing him of his martyrdom.
I sort of agree keeping him alive in lockdown for the rest of his life would be the better option. Showing the world pictures of his dead body in the stranglehold of a noose would probably incite more violence.
And for what it's worth: you can brutalise him all you want, the world wouldn't care. In some cases the UN looks the other way ;).
I'd drink his blood and post a poorly recorded video on youtube.

so do we have a date?
June 30 -- the next budget deadline. Which, if I can represent my years of California experience correctly, means the budget for FY 2010 will be passed sometime in year 2013. And since Skynet already became self-aware in 1997, we'll all be f*cked over by cybernetic organisms by then.

Oddly enough killing Osama would kill all credibility you have no matter how much you spend on AIDS groups.
Who cares? Why should we appease the world? What are they gonna do for us? Is the UN gonna straighten out our stock market? Is WHO gonna feed the starving in Appalachia? Is the EU gonna rebuild our infrastructure?

Exactly. Take his head. Militant. The whole world can watch. We'll dance in street.

Ah the final words of a fading superpower.

Shutting down Gitmo is just another illusion when all the "inmates" are just transported to another facility. People around the world know that. Taking troops from Iraq and deploying them in Pakistan is another act that won't fool people.

I would like to get down to the bottom of 9/11, but questioning OBL wouldn't provide any answers in a naturally biased court. So yeah, perhaps it wouldn't make a difference if we just pulled the trigger.

Insults... The last resort of someone failing to gain the upper hand in a conversation. But I'll play.

HA! We've been fading for years. We're still here. We come back.

The funny part is as America goes so does the rest of the world. People call us uncivilized and snicker at our lack of foreign language knowledge. Europe are the shadiest kats ever. Look at the UN for example. Talk about a garbage organization. It's a round table of Bush cronies looking out for their own interests. They couldn't even tell Israel not to kill Palestinians. They can't even prevent genocide in Darfur. Cowards.

It was hardly an insult. If I ever wanted there to be a superpower, it would have to be the US. And it's not just you we call uncivilised for your lack of foreign language knowledge. The Italians are often made fun of by other Europeans and we assume that everyone who's a native English speaker doesn't speak another language.

As for the UN, there are a few reasons why it is the way it is. I won't glorify the organisation, but it only makes sense.

Come on Andries. You're no fun. I've totally been bating you.

Screw the world. Let's raise productivity domestically and start making things in America again. American quality can't be touched. Tell Rosie to get them rivets going.
Not sure what you mean by American quality, but we do have to start producing our own goods again. Saving and investment is the key with entrepreneurs creating ground breaking products. Perhaps this is where alternative energy intervention and farming becomes the key to breaking out of this funk.

We aren't destroyed. I don't see any burning buildings. We just need to make some changes.
Our economy has been destroyed and the ship is sinking. Remember, we're only about a year into this. Not to mention our liberties are being destroyed with every passing bill, but nobody seems to care about that. It will come back to haunt us.
