So when is this Inauguration bringing out the official Greenspan piñata? I can't wait to see Sasha and Malia Ann take whacks at it -- and everyone scrambling for the mortgage-backed securities that fall out.

Damnit, I missed the speech due to class.

Should I feel slightly guilty for smiling when I say Dick Cheney was in a wheel chair?

"The devil in wheels, lucifer in wheelchair!"
Absolutely not, I laughed at that wheel chair boy.

Along with a certain fiat currency.

What it should be is Greenspan's actual head.

Hey Canardo, this semester I have two trading projects to do every single day, trading soybean and natural gas futures. Should be a wild ride.

Nat gas I should be okay with but the soybeans I might have a little trouble with. That involves more look into Brazil and Argentina, along with some of their strange sanctions and government decisions. Volatility is through the roof.

It could be mutually beneficial

Folk get to wallop Cheney and it might knock Cheney's back back into place.
Try this on. We could charge a dollar per whack. Right now there are 4 million people at the event, plus the actual residents of the city... so 12 million (low ball) people. We can let everyone have a whack and use the proceeds to rebuild infrastructure. Talk about irony.

Did Obama reveal anything meaningful of what he will do? Not just the "we will change" talk, but I mean some cold hard facts.

Please don't tell me all he'll do is turn up the printing presses as that won't work.

That's kind of b.s., though, Andy. The guy hasn't officially been in office for more than 5 minutes and he's supposed to muster up hardened policy as a rogue independent from the rest of the elected U.S. government?

I understand people wanting substance. But substance doesn't come from a campaign speech or even an acceptance speech. Substance comes in deeds and accomplishments, not promises. And perhaps his greatest chance at a deed and accomplishment in his term thus far is not getting shot.
