I'm getting pretty jaded with the TV commercial CGI these days. I see a deodorant commercial with LL Cool J and think he's fake.
I read that as "TV commercial with CGI". I'd love to see that.

Dev: Boss, there's something wrong here, mod_perl is set up all wrong.

Dev: Son of a beeeeeeeee

Dave Chappelle: Get ruby on rails, nigga!

Haven't seen that one, thankfully.

Is this where we get to break off his ice shelf and send him off in the shark-infested Bering Sea while global warming eats away his life raft?
One can only hope.

Or perhaps an even better solution would be to assign him as a motivational speaker to newly approved immigrants. That would be a blast.

Common Gateway Interface, Computer-generated imagery... too much overloading of terms. Of course, I was thinking that as I was typing it too. :nerd:

But Matz would be proud of you, Martin. :D

Goddamit. I have to write this stupid one page paper discussing possible internships for the summer and my research goals during that time as well.

What is it with you Python guys? Taking a scripting language and making it something that requires months and months of a long learning curve is a rather sick academic experiment if you asked me. :D
Every language requires months of mastery. Well, it does and it doesn't, it all depends. I've seen so many languages that I don't quiver as much as I used to, but you still need to know the "ways of doing things here", wherever you happen to be. Which is why I just assembled myself a small library of perl ebooks to nail down process interaction and other gizmos I need in a little project of mine.

Python is dead easy to start with, but once you want to get into the higher echelons it's sort of hard to know where to look it up. Which is common to almost all languages, isn't it? It took me a few months to get things like properties and decorators from the time I first heard about them, and by then I had been using Python casually for a couple of years.

And if it's sick experiments you're after, Perl will delight you endlessly. :D

I've been inducing my own vomiting with Perl for almost 13 years now. :yuck: :D
