i've always been veg, my entire family is actually. we're hindu so its not written in stone that we have to be veg nor does my family care if i am or not.

the way i was raised was to see food as food. no matter what it was. and my parents knew that it would be tough to raise their kids in this country/society as veggies but they never forbid us to eat meat. they never encouraged it either in terms of offering or suggesting but the option was ours to make.

I haven't looked under the hood, but I guess they grow it, ship it to us, we eat it. Norway has a pretty harsh climate to maintain a diversity of produce, so most of the stuff we have is imported.
