Trying to fix my bros computer. It's missing a system file in teh Windows folder. Problem is, I'm having problems reinstalling XP, Windows 7 AND Ubuntu though CD's!

Time to use Ubuntu from USB and see if it helps.
It should help. I found that either my discs or me dvd drives are so busted that they are useless. Only way I can book is off a usb stick nowadays.

The Queen? You respect the Queen now? Are you the same guy who chided me for supporting colonization? Do you know who was responsible for colonization? Yeah, the monarchs...

WTF?!

Was it not obvious that i was being sarcastic?

But for your sake, lets assume i do actually respect the Queen(i'm indifferent to her really), just because her ancestors were responsible for colonization, doesn't mean she is too.

No, not as a person. But her institution is. Just like when Asian countries are asking Japan to apologize for their aggression in WW2 it's not the people who were in government back then they mean, it's the government as such.

The same goes for the "Queen's English", it doesn't mean the English that she herself invented, it means the English that at any given time is promoted by the crown.

You're right, but do you really think i was serious about Americans ruining the Queen's English. It was the other way around, it was a subtle dig at British saying the Americans have ruined the Queen's English. My spelling is completely American mind you, so if i was serious up there, i would be quite the hypocrite.

Incidentally, did you know that American English, since it's split from British English, is closer to the English language at that time? It's the Brits who have departed more than the Americans.

And as we know, some variations in evolution are dead ends  :D
