Quite possibly. We produce more food now than ever before. In nations in which food is plentiful you see taller people.
So we have enough food and we are growing taller. Do you think this growing trend will stop in rich countries like the US or the Netherlands or do you think our average height will reach 2 meters?

That will be interesting to see. Averagely tall western European in the 16th century was 1.60 tall and in the 22nd century he will be 2.00 tall.
There will be something unusual in this and there will be lots of thinking why God made our ancestors so much shorter than us.

I don't know, but it certainly seems like people are getting taller. It depends on if wealthy countries can keep up the food production. If not, you'll see the trend move toward the smaller people again.

Exactly. There are absolutely no assurances that you'll find the answer after you die, and that you'll reach heaven or hell if you die naturally or kill yourself. What has so many years of faith given to you? A shitty life that you openly admit to leaving behind? If this is the return when you're LIVING and can do something about it, what assurances do you have other than some book that preachers wrote that you'll receive ANYTHING, let alone good and bad AFTER you die?

Also, books don't prove anything. Anyone can write a book with concepts he or she likes, and provide it to normal people to follow as their goal. If over a period of hundred of years, if his and his followers manage to kill or silence the opposer of that concept, then it's gonna become the new truth, and everyone will follow it because it's what most people are following. There was no science to disprove those "holy books" and the exposure to those books are nothing like what we have today.
That's a way to look at things. But what if in the end religion was true, and you die and realize that you've fucked yourself up, and will live in hell for eternity?

I'm not sure how those rules work.
It's simple (in words). Have faith, pray to God, do good deeds, and stay away from sins.

If you deserve it you go to heaven, if not then you go to hell.

Sure you can. First project, find 3 things that make you happy by next weekend.:D
This really isn't going to work, appreciate the gesture though. I've tried personal development for 4 years. Doesn't work with me... I need something stronger, something to change my life.

So? are you implying god killed him in some sort of divine justice? :rndh:
No not that. But now that he's dead, he probably has all the answers to our questions.

Here's a thought... have you ever wondered if your belief in god has something to do with your bleak outlook on life? If you think about life as "don't screw up or you go to hell", then it doesn't seem like a very happy life. Maybe if you didn't have that "rule" to live by, you'd be happier. Just a thought.

I was always depressed whether I've believed in God or not. I've always believed in him 100% since the moment I was born till now, but most times I don't act on my beliefs at all. It has nothing to do with it... it's generally that my life is shit. And I know that many have it worse than me, but I'm one hell of a damn negative person and I can't change, nor improve.

I tried everything and my life keeps sucking more and more. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with the topic we're discussing.

If you say you've believed in god the whole time then your first sentence makes no sense.

Where do live anyway?

I thought you were "the mister"?

What? Its a legitimate question.
Yes Misters do have their flaws. There, I said it. You get to be pretty cool for most of the time though... (in your own eyes) hah.

As a Mister you have to watch trainings and go to the stadium a lot. You need to be able to perfectly asses and analayize the performance of individuals and teams.

I think I'll write a book about it.

You're still talking about what-if's. You're still assuming that the concept of heaven and hell is true. The fact is there is no proof to support this theory\concept. There have been no cases of spirits\souls returning from the dead and giving an account of what happened to them after their death. It's bullshit!

I like that I'm in your signature.

So are you 100% sure that there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY that God exists?
