I can handle my drink. But now the scent of vodka nauseates me. Beer or scotch ftw. Rum as a last resort.
I love a nice drop of vodka, preferably good vodka on ice, no mixer.

Especially if it's good vodka.

I need to buy another handle of Svedka.
I need to get back on the vodka.

I've been on the whisky a lot lately, but that's an expensive habit.

my body is beat :D my friends wanna do a movie but a few sirens are trying to lure me out, it's really beautiful out today, you?
I'm laying low largely because I was out drinking pretty late last night with a good friend of mine who is in town visiting from London. We went down to North Beach -- SF's long-time Italien neighborhood -- and had a great meal. But the funny part was that the restaurant -- a decent Italien place -- was a total scene. A table full of babes who looked like they just walked off the set of a Bon Jovi video shoot sat next to us, and they went through bottles of Bud Light (classy...) like it was Evian.

Then afterwards we went to a very cool bar in the city called Specs 12 Adler Museum Cafe. It's a freaking old school, bawdy, Looney Tunes place of a bar. I literally had a wannabe pirate, dressed in full garb, trip over me on a barstool last night. (As the SF Weekly called it: "Specs' is one of the few bars left where you can ask for a martini and get a cold glass of gin and a little vermouth without having to answer a bunch of damn fool questions.") But damn, were there some professional drunks there last night.

So tonight I am laying low, doing things close to home. Because, get this, I amma gonna play bocce with my friend from London tomorrow morning down south.

Don't ask...

You guys ever heard of a vodka called Imperia? It's russian. Best vodka ever, you can drink it on the rocks and won't get that nasty feeling you get when drinking cheap brands like Smirnoff
