In Russia, vodka drink you!

Most people (at least here) think Stolichnaya is the shit because it's original and legit russian vodka. When I went to Russia and asked them russians about Stoli, they would literally make this face :inter:. Absolut is more expensive than Stoli there!

Vodka is the most vapid spirit on the planet, guys. The whole idea of vodka is that it's not supposed to taste like anything.

What a completely wussy spirit in my book.

Weird. When my wife went to Tyumen, Russia in the 90s, she said all the locals drank Stoli as the "good stuff" they supposedly shared with guests.

I thought Stoli would be the premium brand there as well, but they suggested I try brands like Imperia and Ruski Standard
Well, for her that was the 1990s and in a city on the edge of Siberia.

Since then, with all the $$$ of oil exports, they probably want to elevate the prestige of imports like all countries tend to do.

Even so, I like Dru's point. There comes a point where putting rotgut in your body just isn't worth it. If you're going to pick a poison, may as well choose one that does good damage rather than bad. :D

Yep I get his point as well, in fact when I drink at my house/friend's houses we drink good stuff, but when we go out and my friends want to get a bottle of Smirnoff I can't say no because I don't think it's good. That's why lately I've been drinking more rum, it's cheaper (because it isn't imported) and it has good quality
