You still didn't explain your rather peculiar idea of tolerance Ja5per.
I did not get the chance as ze told us to keep clear of that thread. I think i made it clear, with religion we cant have tolerance, its fairly simple. I have a few ideals that i live my life by and one of them is i will tolerate anyone but the intolerant. I belief in the freedom of choice (this is where you will think i am being hypocritical) but whilst religion does not allow for this and we cannot have it whilst religion exist, i am opposed to religion. I don't if you dont get it, ze has tired me out.

@ze If you knew my Grandmother and Mother, you would be a weak aswell (by your definition of weak)

And i give up, we will have to agree to disagree, we have completely different understandings of what we are talking about due to external reasons and we will never agree on this due to that, fun debating with you though

@the bold: No offense but that makes you a weak person. The image you give us is that you're a strong atheist who wants to rid the world of religion for the betterment of it yet you can't resist the temptations of a holiday? I've lived in the West for 18 years and I haven't had a single drop of alcohol...you know why? Because I stand by what I believe in and I try to control my temptations as much as I can.
YOU GO TAHIR!!! And I really mean that. There is this one girl who was my friend when I lived in Boston a few years ago and she would hang out with my same group of friends (we drank, went out, etc.) and she would come to our gatherings wearing her veil, wouldn't show us her hair and we begged her to!!! even when we were only girls and wouldn't even touch a bottle of alcohol... A year later she added me on Facebook, I saw she had moved to somewhere in the south of the US (Texas I think, but thats irrelevant) and she had a bunch of pictures with her newly highlighted hair being slutty and drunk! (her album names were like "drunk party") and I swear I was like this :snoop: literally! Where did all her willpower go?!! I've never asked her about it but I wonder what made her change so radically

I'm glad you know you're contradicting yourself.

What you're saying is that you are just as intolerant as religious people.

Whats the difference between you and religious people who think they should not be tolerant towards atheists viewpoint?

All you religious/anti-religious folk should be more like me.

I don't give a shit what people believe or don't believe as long as they leave me alone.

Thanks :)

Yeah, I don't know what the deal with those people is. I mean, if they want to change lifestyles that's all fine and when those people still pretend to religious in front of family and certain friends that's just bs. I have a cousin who does this and I can't stand him anymore...I try to avoid him as much as possible.

At least this girl isn't hiding it, at least I think she isn't if she's openly posting these things on her facebook.

I'm a hypocrtie. So what? You are too.

What's with this holier than thou streak in the forums these days?
Don't make sleep on the couch again. My back is hurting.

What i am saying is that i look at the larger picture. What may make me a hypocrite would only be untill what i opposed ended and we could have shared tolerance of everyone. If religion wernt intolerant i would have no problem with it, i would end up being an apathetic agnostic (dont know, dont care). But whilst religion remains homophobic, anti choice, kills millions (catholics) etc, etc, I just cannot tolerate it, i cannot bring myself to live in a world that lives like that without protesting an opposing it.
