Thought so but I wanted to check as that commute seemed crazy for Bolivia but who knows maybe transportation is fucked up everywhere.
I chose to have this commute to be in London. Was getting bored out of my mind in Reading but if I don't find anything suitable in London, I'll have to go back to Reading.

have you ever worked with a lot of contracts without proper software support? i have. never again, it sucks
Yeah, sounds like a nightmare. They don't even have an administrator or anything of the sort. That would've compensated for the lack in software.

Yeah, in beautiful Bolivia you don't usually commute more than 30 mins

Go for it, change is always scary but youve been complaining for a while now
Please don't hate me for shitting on religion recently  I still love you

Saving an hour (or is it two, going both ways) on commute is a big deal though. But if you only go twice a week that's not so bad
Yeah that's a bit shitty but I think working at a shitty place is even shittier.

I just started a job with no MRP system in place. It will be a challenge for what I do, and if I stay long enough I will probably have to select and implement one, however it's a lot of money, much shorter commute, and I like the environment/ co workers so I'm up for the challenge.

If you already don't like the manager then that is the biggest red flag imo. A bad manager / supervisor can ruin even the best position

Are you able to look this company up on glassdoor? Or connect with former employees on linkedin to ask them?

Just had a job interview and crushed it. I have this feeling they will offer me the job. However, I'm not fully convinced about the company.

They prefaced the interview by saying that they don't have the appropriate software in place to manage contracts so the job will involve a large influx of emails and manual work rather than having a proper system in place. I didn't really like the guy that would be my line manager - I found him a bit anxious and going at 100 mph but of course I can't really know what he's like from just 30 minutes.

The salary is also only marginally better like £1.5k more per annum.

The one positive is see is that I would reduce my commute significantly (30 mins vs 1h 30 min I do twice a week) and transportation costs would also reduce by like £300 a month so that's quite a bit of saving right there. Anyway, I'm not sure it's worth changing jobs as it could be a chaotic mess and I'd end up being chained to this place for a while.

Admittedly, I'm bored of my current job and that's why I'm looking for something new but I'm anxious about messing up by going somewhere for similar money and potentially more workload. Strangely, as swag said, somehow I feel a bit more grateful for my job and team and I'm feeling more motivated now.

Wat do?
You're young and have the experience and drive to chase economic opportunities. Take the $$ and the shorter commute. In the current labor market you should consider this a win and you can always jump when the market heats up again. Life is long, make as much moneys as you can.

This is so dumb, but I can totally see how it could be popular with socially awkward zoomers, especially if endorsed by some other brain deads with a big social media presence

So like a Tamagotchi for school shooters.

Loneliness it a bitch, now it's a lucrative one.
There are probably some lucrative partnerships they could make with merchants of body armor and AR-15s.

The only dissuader I have is if the new job won't leave sufficient time for you to commit to finding an even better one.

@Fr3sh
How has it been going for you? Have you managed to land a job?
I’ve been coding for nearly two years now. I’m mostly self taught- I’m in a IT Company, but I learned most of what I know on my own from google or YouTube. I started coding not to get a job (obviously, because I’m too beginner for one), but just to code for fun. I currently get stuck in PHP and JS in intention of becoming a Web Developer.

So MrBeast is a pedo enabler and scam artist
Update me. Pedo enabler how? Anything concrete or rumours? He gets alot of money from his high viewcount elaborate videos. But his model of bussiness amongst influencers been solid, because he done insane amount of charity with his ridiculous earnings.
