@Raphaël What's going on in France? Is it true that you can't take short distance domestic flights if there's a possibility to go with a train? So you'd reduce carbon emissions?
I heard they were doing this.

Only domestic flights where the train trip is at or less than 2.5 hours.

Which, as I understand it, is about the same time, anyway.

So the neighbor next to me has like 10 kids of different ages, one of his kids was mowing and somehow managed to mow half of my lawn without me asking. I’m very OCD about my lawn and want it perfect, but this little fucker used the shortest setting and now it’s completely fucked.

Unfortunately for the father, I noticed this just at the end of the JJ match, so he definitely got the worst side of me. Bad timing on their part.
This is on you. Everybody knows you mow the lawn before the match. It's all part of the pre match prep. No wonder Jj is in such a state.

Green washing with a very limited range.

They banned the plane from Orly (the second Parisian airport after Roissy Charles de Gaulle) in the direction of only 3 lines: Lyon, Nantes and Bordeaux.

While in 2019, air transport emitted 24.2 million tonnes of CO2, including 21 million for domestic traffic, the ban on connections between Paris Orly and Nantes, Bordeaux and Lyon should allow a total reduction in emissions of CO2 of 55,000 tons per year according to the European Commission.

Makes a lot of sense honestly. It would be like my flying to NYC when it’s a 2 hour drive
When I first moved to Portugal 5 years ago, my boss would like to fly from Lisbon to Porto. The surface math tells you it's faster and all. It takes 50 minutes compared to a train that could take 3-4 hours for a fast train and longer for the slower local trains.

But flying sucks. It's so much easier and better to stroll a few minutes before departing at the train station. And then when you're on it, there's more space and more you can do. I haven't flown to Porto in 4 years. The flights still exist, but it's a lamer alternative to a solid train and it's barely any time difference in the end when you account for travel to and from some suburban airport, getting through security, gate boarding, baggage, etc.

I don't get these flying romantics who read articles about the greatest airports in the world and their wondrous airport lounges. To me flying is like dentistry. Any time I spend in an airport is a failure with the goal of seeing as little of it as possible. "World's best airports" is like ranking "World's best cancers".

    "Kids"

"All the people in this room, we are the victims of a failed progressive utopia. Your policies have failed." You think? But I'm jaded and i think the same people will move to idaho and vote for the same shit policies, because "not everyone is like that man".

Also @Quetzalcoatl remember that business idea i talked about:
