Not too bad, what? You serious? That shift fucking sucks. You're done at 20:00? It literally kills your whole day. You can't use your morning normally while big part of a day is butchered. I always hated that shift, plus second shift when you finish at 22:00.
No it isn't a "shift" per se. My normal work time hasn't changed. But since i'm working from home, I'd rather do that from the UAE. Sure because of time difference you end up working a little weirder hours 12-8 or 9. But on the flipside NL is in full lockdown, and here its 25 degrees, everything is open etc. At least i can enjoy the weekends haha.

hell of a knockout tho
indeed. love him or hate him. the guy can pack a punch. He's only been doing it a few years, and he's knocking out combat sport athletes. Woodley isn't a boxer, but he is a top combat sports athlete, to beat him twice and knock him out in this fashion is respectable. How many UFC fighters have knocked out Woodley?

How? And... why? What's the % of the vaccine over there?

Its terrible. Only essential shops are allowed to open. Gyms, restaurants, bars, cafes etc all closed for a month.

The vaccination rate is not that bad i think. But they are paying the price for full opening in September and October. Vaccines don't stop transmission, they reduce likelihood of hospitalization and death. As horrible as these lockdowns are, i think at this point the healthcare system in NL is on the brink. So unfortunately its necessary.

But there was a lockdown when there wasn't a vaccine and now there's a lockdown when majority took both doses. That's just great.

But i don;t understand what do you suggest?
Hospitals in the Netherlands are once again sending patients to Germany. They are postponing organ transplants and chemotherapy. Many of them are having to turn away patients not in critical condition. If infections kept going at the same rate, there wouldn't be enough ICU beds. These are real things that are happening. Listen, I hate these lockdowns as much as anyone. That's why i left and came here for a while. But really what else is the solution, something has to be done to stop the healthcare system from being overwhelmed.
