I was reading a couple sleep studies that concluded it's far better to sleep in 2-3 shorter stints throughout the night (or day). Can significantly cut down total hours of sleep required.

That's my regimen, couple of hours at night, and a couple late afternoon. But every few weeks I'll sleep a whole Sunday through.

Even the most docile people can have a bad trip on certain drugs and do something violent or harmful that is totally out of character. It might be a 1 in 10,000 chance, but it’s still there.

Same deal with getting blackout drunk.

I disagree. Unless you are using a powerful dissociative that doesn't really happen.

In my experience people who have these sort of issues manifest on drugs were prone to it before they ever took the drugs
