Commutes are one of the worst part of working (outside of actually working).

I've been fortunate in my career to not have grueling commutes.

I pity those with difficult commutes

Once I was waiting for a bus 45 min (plus 1h of travel).

My commute to work is walking to the other room


If you are taking public transport one hour to work is nothing. You'll eventually find a way to make something out of that time spent on the train/bus. I used to read a lot more books when I had to commute to work compared to now when I don't.

I'm no longer doing anything related to law. Wasn't worth it.

I took a few cases for a client a few months ago but I'm done with that.

Yes, I'm self employed and hopefully hiring my first employee soon.

If you want to start something on your own you should do it while you're still employed, as a side hustle. Cash flow truly is king.

A simple 15 minute walk down 10th avenue is all it takes
